I’m currently living and working in a hostel/restaurant for a free place to stay while I continue to teach English in Puerto Lopez, Ecuador. It’s great, I get breakfast every morning and have a bed on the third story over looking the ocean. The only catch is the place is over run with cats. They beg for food from guests and boldly raid the compost bin. I tried to manage the cat situation for a few days (felt like Americorps), but it failed, they still do whatever they want. So I figured, if you can’t beat them, adopt them.
For those of you looking for a non-cat update of what I’m actually doing in Puerto Lopez, I wrote the entry for this month on the Cafe de Lenguas y Cultura Blog.
