Above is a short collection of Micro- shots we have collected of what I call “Space Plants”. They are really different types of Alpine plants native to New Zealand. They grow in some of the rockiest, harshest places imaginable. Many exhibit a weird similarity to reefs.
Most of the shots were captured by Linzay last week, when she won two helicopter rides to the tops of some local mountains. It’s amazing she didn’t bring a sample home and try to replant it in the back yard, like some of the unclaimed neighborhood plants she’s been “adopting”.
The last picture is a bear that Linzay’s parents saw in Washington, and it’s just funny.
